Her arrival marks the beginning of a new strategic chapter for the organization, focused on the collective construction of a new theory of change that will guide the work over the next five years.   <\/p>\n<p>Diana brings more than a decade of experience in sexual and reproductive rights advocacy, transitional justice, and social movement building. She currently serves as <strong>Director of Advocacy for <a href=\"https:\/\/profamilia.org.co\/\" target=\"_blank\">Profamilia Colombia<\/a><\/strong>, a position she has held for the past six years, where she has led advocacy strategies at the national and international levels. <\/p>\n<p>Her appointment coincides with a key moment of institutional evolution for Ipas LAC. Following the conclusion of the theory of change that guided the organization&#8217;s work during 2021 and 2025-under a shared leadership model-Diana will lead the growth of the Ipas LAC team and the strategic update process that will define priorities and approaches for the next five years. This transition also occurs in a context of strengthening organizational governance, marked by the incorporation of new people to the Ipas LAC Assembly.  <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<i>&#8220;The Ipas LAC Assembly welcomes Diana&#8217;s arrival as the new Executive Director. Her experience as an activist in the region and her commitment to feminist principles are part of a process of strengthening and consolidation that the organization has built in recent years. Her leadership comes to accompany and enhance this collective trajectory in a regional moment that requires creativity, political strength and the certainty that the collective is our greatest strength,&#8221; said Edurne Cardenas, <\/i><strong>said Edurne C\u00e1rdenas, Ipas LAC Assembly referent<i>.<\/i> <\/strong>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her career as a feminist lawyer and researcher specializing in human rights with deep experience in international law provides a comprehensive look at the challenges facing sexual and reproductive rights in the region, especially in relation to access to safe abortion services, as an integral part of the right to health.  <\/p>\n<p>Based in Mexico, Diana will lead Ipas LAC&#8217;s operations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, a region that faces<strong> complex and diverse challenges<\/strong> in ensuring sexual and reproductive rights and access to essential reproductive health services, such as contraception and safe abortion.  <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<strong>In his words:<\/strong><i> &#8220;Latin America and the Caribbean is a region of profound contrasts.
