Why do women have abortions?

Women resort to abortion for a wide variety of causes and reasons, including: sexual violence, lack of access to health services and modern contraceptive methods, difficulties in the correct and consistent use of contraceptives, method failures, and the very fact that many women, adolescents and girls, do not wish to become mothers at a certain point in their lives.
