In addition to abortion, in Colima there are other grounds for abortion to be legal.

The grounds are situations for which a safe and legal abortion procedure may be requested, other than free choice. In these cases, health services and medical personnel must support women or pregnant women in identifying and facilitating their care, without increasing the requirements indicated in the law.
