Paola Yañez-Inofuentes

Paola Yañez-Inofuentes, Afro-feminist activist, Bolivian, civil engineer, former Executive Director of the Afro-Bolivian Center for Integral and Community Development “CADIC”, has experience in working on gender, identity, discrimination, racism, women’s rights.

Since 2018 she is General Coordinator of the Network of Afro-Latin American, Afro-Caribbean and Diaspora Women, being the first Afro-Bolivian to hold such a position at the international level. From the General Coordination she carries out research and advocacy work on the regional gender agenda, at the global level in CPD, CSW, COP and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Afrodescendants among other spaces that allow us to influence and follow up on the agendas of Afrodescendant women.

In 2016 she was elected member of the UN Women Civil Society Advisory Group for Latin America and the Caribbean ending the term in 2020.
