When pregnancy is the result of rape
If the pregnancy is the result of a forced relationship or rape, then abortion is an emergency health service and is a right of survivors of sexual violence, to which they should have immediate access.
The woman must request the abortion before the health services with a free written request, by hand or computer. When the pregnant girl is under 12 years old, the father, mother or guardian is the one who makes the request. This ground is recognized in all entities of the Mexican Republic (Secretaría de Gobernación, 2009, 2017 and 2014).
